Haunted Castles
An amazing book written by Ray Russell, this book has about five or six short stories beginning with my favorite, Sardonicus. If you like horror, this is definetly the book for you. Even though they are short stories, you best believe you will still be asking yourself how he managed to twist the story from where you thought it was going to a whole other resolution. My all time favorite book, I always recommend it.
We Have Always Lived in the Castle
This book by Shirley Jackson is captivating and thrilling. It makes you think about what is foreshadowing and what isn’t. It’s fascinating and honestly one of my favorites.

What Moves The Dead
This thrilling book by T. Kingfisher makes you question everything it throws at you. So many twists, it could go anywhere, yet the end is very satisfying. I very much liked this book.
The Fifth Child
Doris Lessing is an amazing writer first off, and I did really enjoy this book. The only problem I had was the ending, it felt like a copout. Some writers can be really good at writing the whole book, book they dont really know how to end it. Im not sure if Lessing’s other books end better but this is a book I enjoyed but never recommended because of the end. I’m changing that, I do recommend it, I’d like to know if you feel the same as me or if you like the end.

No Longer Human
Oh my gosh this is such a good book. This was written by Osamu Dazai and translated later to english. It was also turned into an amzing manga illustrated by Junji Ito. I cannot recommend this book enough!
Elevation
Another great one. This was written by Stephen King, it is unlike his novels he is famous for like The Shining, Carrie, and Pet Semetary. I wish I could read this book again and again for the first time. Youre constantly trying to figure out what is going on and end up being satisfied immensely by the end.

The Thursday Murder Club
Finally time to talk about my favorite book series by Richard Osman. If you like myystery books, this is certainly for you! I cannot recommend this series enough. The first book is so enticing and interesting, I normally dont like series’ but this changed that!
The Man Who Died Twice
Second book in Richard Osman’s The Thursday Murder Club series. Loved this one! So intriguing and unlike the first. Both are very different yet follow the same storyline. The characters are so loveable and you end up feeling like you are there solving the mystery with them.

No Exit
Such an amazing book by Taylor Adams. The movie adaptation was also very good. This was such a cool and thrilling read. I definitely recommend this book. Adams makes you question everything and when you find out the answer, she has you anxious for the characters, rooting for them to succeed.
I Have No Mouth & I Must Scream
My all time favorite book. Harlan Ellison is an amazing writer. It is hard to find the physical book but I listened to it on Libby. I was first introduced to it by the youtuber Wendigoon who did an analysis on it. Love love love this book!

The Yellow Wallpaper
Great, great short story by Charlotte Perkins Gilman! Amazing story. The writing is perfect, I was able to imagine the setting, story, and characters to the fullest! Highly recommend.
Carmilla
Such an amazing story by Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu! A definite need to read book. I’d love to hear your opinion on it and the ending. Recommend it 100%.

Guilt, Shame, and Anxiety
I definitely need to read more by Peter R Breggin, MD. He is a great writer and spokesperson for getting over negative emotions. While I was in a behavioral hospital, I wish I had this. Reading this after getting out gave me some good perspectives though and I was able to learn from it.
Choose Wonder Over Worry
Amber Ray is an amazing writer, this book helped me a lot. I have grown so much by doing what she teaches in this. I highly recommend it for bettering yourself and focusing on your mental health.

The Woman in the Window
So good! This novel by A. J. Finn has you questioning everybody. There are multiple twists that make you question what is true. The movie adaptation is okay, it’s not awful but the book is definitely better!
